About Me

I am a dance artist based between London and Brighton in the UK.

Working as a performer, teacher and choreographer, my practice is inclusive and  predominantly with inclusive groups of dancers with and without disabilities.

I have a very versatile dance background that I love to draw from in my work:

In 2015 I completed my degree in Contemporary Dance with a First Class Honours at London Contemporary Dance School, where I trained in dance styles including: Release Techniques, Cunningham Technique, Improvisation, Contact Improvisation, Floor-work, Flying Low, Ballet, Gaga, Choreography, Partner work, and Fundamental Teaching practice.

Before this I trained for  2 years in Theatre Performance at The Centre Performing Arts College where I studied styles including: Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Partner work, Commercial Jazz, Hip-hop, Musical Theatre, Estill Voice technique, Modern, Contemporary and ISTD (DDI) teaching qualifications in modern and ballet.

Whilst training as a child I also studied and performed many folk dances and have continued to enjoy this, in particular Cornish Folk Dance which has been a strong influence in some of my choreographic work in recent years.

In the last few years I have travelled solo a lot, where I discovered a love for improvising, teaching, choreographing, and being thrown in at the deep end!

After returning to the UK in 2016 I worked with many different companies and organisations across the country, constantly developing and shaping my practice. I have experience working with groups of young people and adults with Learning Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, Sensory Impairments, and in mainstream schools also.

I love the huge range of people I work with, as it requires me to be flexible, responsive, and constantly on my toes. I am passionate and enthusiastic and love what I do!

I am always working to expand and develop my practice; this past year I have  been living and working in Australia, visiting many inclusive artists from whom I have learnt an invaluable amount. I am also very interested in politics and undertook a summer course in 'Contemporary Arts and Politics' at the Akademin Valand at the University of Gothenburg.

Finally I have also recently qualified with my 200hr Teaching certificate in Ashtanga and Vinyasa Yoga from Sampoorna Yoga in Goa, India, and am currently teaching at multiple wellness centres and Eco resorts in Sri Lanka. I look forward to returning to the UK and integrating my new knowledge and experience of intensive exploration of movement in a different practice to my dance work.

Please get in touch if you are interested in my work.  I would love to hear from you!
